How to start a community from a Newsletter?

A couple months ago I started a newsletter that curates information about future IPOs. After a rollercoaster journey to improve messaging and landing page, it is finally converting quite good (thank you IHs).

With the help of Facebook ads, I managed to get some qualified leads (for ~1.50€/lead) and now I have surpassed 100 subscribers with an open rate of ~70%, which I believe to be really good for a newsletter (correct if I'm wrong 😬).

I feel that my next step is to start posting on some relevant subreddits and FB groups. Also I will post the newsletter on Product Hunt next Monday before the next issue, not sure how this will go 🤞

My question now is more about my current subscribers. I would like to start and grow a community where people could interact with each other and share content. What would you recommend? Where should I start or read about it?

Thanks in advance,
Miguel

    • encourage them to respond to emails
    • host events
    • point them to a bit of content where they can respond - blog with comments, a public group on the internet, a blog with comments, Twitter post
    • see if you can find people who repeatably like or respond to your content, use that as a starting point to build a relationship
    • get to know your people, then talk about them
    • create a ritual activity for people to join in on

    Hi Miguel,

I'm building a product called CrowdWork that let's you add community features to your newsletter. It's in a private beta right now. I'd love to learn more about your newsletter and show you a demo of CrowdWork. If you're interested shoot me an email at [email protected] and maybe we can chat.
