@kylekrzeski and I managed to get Removaly to #1 Product of the Day from August 6th 2021: https://www.producthunt.com/posts/removaly. Over 1,200 upvotes.

We remove people's personal information from people search websites and data brokers, and leverage ourselves by being the only fully US-based, automated data removal service on the market, as well as the only data removal service on the planet that scans every day (versus monthly or quarterly).

We experienced a massive number of new signups, thousands of hits to the site, and some great publicity and feedback. Kyle basically did the whole thing solo, from hunting down Hunters to promoting and beyond.

Oh great tool! Do you mind telling me why you decided to use a different hunter for your product?

Check out my answer to that HERE. If that doesn't exactly answer your question, let me know and I can go into more detail 👍

Actually hosting an event with the Head of Social at Product Hunt tomorrow to cover this :)

Interesting. if I am opportune, I'll definitely be attending.

My product was a openstartup directory https://www.producthunt.com/posts/open-startup

Surprisingly I got to #4 and over 500 upvotes. Honestly I never expected that. The product itself was built within 2 days and looked very rusty during the launch.

What worked for me was I tweeted a long thread mentioning all the startups in the list with some big names like buffer and ghost. Some big twitter accounts liked, retweeted and commented on that thread. That got a lot of traction and eventually more upvotes on ProductHunt.

Great product and thanks for the insight. A great example of how virality is built into the product itself.

Best launch for us so far. We did make it into the top 10 and had 2k visitors and 31 sign-ups.

Thanks! On a different note, I did come across your startup on product hunt a few ago and found it promising.

I'm glad it turned out well for you.

Compared to others, it was terrible.
Compared to what I had expected, it was it bad but not good 😏.

I did not get enough upvotes, but I got a good amount of traffic and signed up

So far it's going pretty well, we launched this morning for Open Makers: https://www.producthunt.com/posts/open-makers-2

Open Makers is a community for those who like to Build in Public.

Things we have done for our launch...

    • Created a bunch of nice slides for the slideshow
    • Spent a lot of time testing and growing the community prior to launching on PH so that we had content and users already on the platform.
    • We did a lot of Twitter outreach to connect with makers to get their feedback.
    • The day prior to launching we announced that we would be going live the following day, then we did an update every few hours as we got closer to launch.
    • On launch day we shared the link across all our platforms, plus sent a DM to nearly all our current members to like our tweet and then to comment on our PH post.
    • Today we have spent time fixing a few requests and responding to as many people as possible.
    • And now I'm posting on this thread as well!

Hey, did you launch on product hunt?

  8. 1

I am launching https://www.producthunt.com/posts/notion2sheets tomorrow (A Google Workspace Add-On that let's you integrate Notion with Google Sheets), a couple of things I have done and will do during the launch:

    1. I contacted https://www.producthunt.com/@benln to be the hunter, he is part of the Notion community and has hunted most of Notion related products. He happily agreed to help :)

    2. I prepared email campaigns for our existing users asking for feedback and support, they will be sent based on time zone, focusing first in Australia, Asia, then Europe, and then America. Four email campaigns sent at different times.

    3. Will post asking for feedback in relevant groups without spamming, probably Facebook and Slacks groups where I have been active posting and helping people for a while now.

Those are the main things to point out, the rest was just preparing good copy, nice images and a full review video of the product with the different sections highlighted.
Will post the statistics once launched! 🤞

I've launched my niche generator on ph 10 days ago, there is a small tool that helps to focus on people & problems rather than ideas.

    https://www.producthunt.com/posts/the-niche-generator

It drives some traffic to see my tool, be technically aware of massive hits!

I got 26 votes and landed in the 33rd position for the day: https://www.producthunt.com/posts/strive-content-calendar

I've had 96 visits to my site from PH since launching 4 months ago and a handful of signups.

Submitting on Product Hunt was really easy and I'll do it again for future products because it's kind of fun, but I don't view it as a serious acquisition channel.

Yesterday I announced TinyFunction on PH and it came as '#3 Product of the Day'. Before that I posted few products on PH.

My new product TinyFunction.com is about quickly creating cloud functions.
