Hello everyone 👋🏻
I recently published Synthate's landing page at Synthate.com and wanted to get everyone's opinion.
I appreciate any tips, critiques, and advice that anyone has!
If anyone is interested in the product/offering itself, the backend application is also function
Site loads fast, kudos for it!
But the bold text in the navbar is a big turnoff for me.
If its made of normal weight, it'd look good in my opinion: https://i.gyazo.com/e37bd408098b45955ab63f57eb15db96.png
Agreed - I'll be changing it with my next deploy :)
Thanks for the advice!
I like the clean look all through the page. Congrats!
A couple of notes:
Thank you!
I think I definitely need to re-do the copy text and edit the illustrations for the usecase/process/pricing section - will be doing so before next deploy.
Really nice, it takes a moment to get what's the product.
Did you build it from scratch?
The backend application was originally templated with Sjabloon, but the large majority of what you see was custom coded.
After looking at it a few more times, I agree - it's a bit difficult to tell what it is right off the bat. I'll add some work samples/rearrange the page a bit to be more informative.
Thanks for the feedback Hannah!
Not building hiring software anymore? :(
Nope :(
I'm actually happy with the balance I've hit here - I can do client work, gain experience and gradually build income; but I can also use Synthate, LLC to develop side projects and products of my own in my freetime.
Lever.co does such a good job with hiring software after further research that I realistically cannot make a 10x product (especially after thinking about the questions you posed a week back) by myself.
That sounds like a great decision then.
Nice and simple.
Some quick tips:
I agree - I'll likely make 'Product' a dropdown with some options, and get rid of the rest. Guiding the visitor is definitely something I need to keep in mind while developing (UX! UX! UX!).
I'll also be adding work samples (both example projects and client projects as I acquire more).
Thanks Volkan! 👍🏻
Slick for sure. I would think one thing you're missing are work samples. But if its early stage, it would make sense.
Again, slick. 👍
Thanks! 😁
I'm working on getting some early work examples up. I got an early adopter/client and I intend on using his website + a few other sample projects for now.

Good catch - didn't realize this. I'll also see about changing the checkmarks to X's for non-included features.

I see it now - I'll get on it! Good catch! 😁
