What's the most difficult challenge that you could take on right now?
For me, it's waking up early. By far. I was never able to make this one of my habits for longer than 5 days at a time. Not even when I was on duty in the army.
Fun fact: My company once had... "adjustments" to face because the commander caught me in bed two minutes before the morning muster. 🛌🏼🚪💂♂️
Truthfully, I'm terrified by the words I'm typing right now. So much even, that I've moved the wake up time 1 hour later to 6 am, although originally I wanted it to make 5 am. But I honestly don't believe I can make that.
Yeah, it's that bad.
Anyway. This challenge is also part of me building Good Tendency in public. And I'm starting by using it in public. I want to see how well it truly does the job.
How the app works in a nutshell: It will charge me an amount of money when I start a habit. If I stay true to my ambitions, it will pay me back my money. If I don't fulfill my task (waking up at 6 am), it will not pay me back. In this case, I'm gonna set the amount to $5. That puts me at risk of losing 60 x $5 = $300 at most.
At the end of the challenge, I will donate the amassed amount to a local animal shelter.
Every day before 6:15 am I will tweet a photo showing my watch and a beverage of my choice to further keep me publicly accountable. 🤙
