I built a Mac app that blocks feeds instead of whole sites because that's where I was losing hours

I kept opening YouTube for one video and getting pulled into Home and Shorts. Same with Reddit front pages.

So I built Monk Mode for Mac. It blocks the feed surfaces, not the whole internet.

Right now it blocks:

  • YouTube Home
  • YouTube Shorts
  • X For You
  • Reddit front pages
  • other high distraction feeds

The point is simple: still use the tool when I need it, remove the slot machine layer.

It is $15 lifetime: https://mac.monk-mode.lifestyle

Curious if other people here have the same problem. Which desktop feed wastes the most time for you?
