I Built A New Landing Page!

After procrastinating on this for the longest time, I finally said "enough is enough", whipped out my CSS muscles, and built out a new landing page for One Word Domains: https://www.oneword.domains/

Would love some feedback on the new design! 😃

    Hi Steven,

    I really like the name of your product. It's simple yet catchy and it tells all about the service. Really well thought.

    Some suggestions:

    1. It's a standard practice to use navbar on top left and a logo on top-right. I would recommend following this as it saves user for searching for the common components of the website.

    2. The graphic right after the "Affordable Domains At Your Fingertips" heading looks blank. It does not communicate well. Add some life to it. Maybe some domains that are sold, some that are available.

    3. I would swap the Available domains section with the Affordable Domains At Your Fingertips section. It is really well structured. A visitor can easily click on any tag and get the desired results because the main intent of visitor is to get an idea about the available domains.

    4. Aftermarket domains section uses only logos. It's unclear with only logos. Use the company names with the logos for clarity.

    5. No matter where I click on the page, Notify me button zooms out and in. Only use the transition when the user hovers over the button.

    6. The OneWordDomains h1 in the footer spans the whole area. So if a user unknowingly clicks on a side of footer, the page reloads. You might want to change this behaviour.

      Holy shit this is really in-depth – thank you so much for being so attentive!! Totally agree with all of the points you mentioned – my site is definitely due for a maintenance check!

          It's up! I did points #2, #4, #5, and #6 – for #1 I'm opting to stick with my current layout because my users are used to it at this point (I have about 250 paid and 3.5K free users) and for #3, I think it's important to have a hero image before going in depth into the content...might change it down the road though!

    Looks neat. May be the first image of list of domains can be changed to something that improves CTA.

    For domains, price is always in our heads. All domain providers pitch their prices.

      That's a really good point! I'm definitely planning on improving the image a little further – might include the actual domains or at least some stats to capture attention! As for pricing, it's included in each of the TLD pages, but I'll add them to the landing page as well! Thank you!
