Hey indie hackers! I've recently built and sold a GPT3 powered no code app. Here are some quick stats about the building process and the sale:
Time spent: ~60 hours
$ spent: ~$50
Revenue: $0
Users: ~10
Tech: Bubble, gpt3, Stripe
Price: $4K (sold on MicroAcquire)
Overall a success.
I'm passionate about this stack, it's so powerful for non-technical people who want to get started using GPT3 (or even technical people who want to get GPT3 up and running quickly). However, integrating GPT3 with Bubble was a bit of a learning curve.
So I decided to put together a step-by-step tutorial of how I did it so others can take advantage of this stack in a fraction of the time it took me to get up and running.
In the tutorial I cover:
A basic overview of the two technologies. While this tutorial is a detailed step-by-step guide, it does assume that you have a basic understanding of both technologies.
A detailed guide through all of the settings and small bit of code you have to include in Bubble's API Connector to properly set up OpenAI's API.
Once the API is connected, learn how to set up the Bubble workflows in order to produce an output from your prompts.
OpenAI requires that every GPT3 app implement a content filter to keep unsafe content from appearing to the user. This is a detailed guide on how to set up this content filter, from the API connection in API Connector to the Bubble workflows.
Since anyone creating a GPT3 app will likely want to make it a paid app, I go over how to implement monthly payments and restrict free usage.
You can find a link to the demo application here
I'm really eager to see what you all build by following this tutorial and customizing it for your own creative purposes!

That is good, selling with no revenue and 10 customers
Thanks I definitely consider it a success
