I created an IH running club on Strava

I ran regularly for a few years, but I've let the habit slide this year. Partially pandemic stress, also partly hip soreness (too many kids!). I'd love to get back into it (soon).

The topic also came up on Twitter, so we now have an Indie Hackers running club on Strava.

Now we can encourage each other to reach our running milestones, together but apart. 🤗

I've put the link to it on the right hand side of this Sports group. I can create other clubs too...or just go ahead and create one, let me know and I'll it to the sidebar too.

Nice! Created a cycling club in case there are any cyclists out there 😀 https://www.strava.com/clubs/803509

This is awesome! As fellow hackers, you might find this interesting - I recently just did a little write up on pulling my Strava data using their API and doing some basic analysis on it. https://mattambrogi.medium.com/using-the-strava-api-and-pandas-to-explore-your-activity-data-d94901d9bfde

    I love it 🥰 It’s my favorite app !

    Joined!

And I'm smugly straight in at the top of the chart, based on pace (admittedly I've only done one fairly short run, but I'm going to take it!)...

Awesome idea! I just joined as well. I used to run regularly (did a few marathons) before last year, but as you said - pandemic + newborn baby basically destroyed this habit I’d built the last couple of years.

I’d love to get back into it (even though it’s winter here right now) and I’m looking forward to see you all on Strava.

Fantastic idea! Just joined and I'm 100% going to try to make a Happyfeed Pod for IH next week.

I think everyone can do with some extra motivation this time of the year 😄

Great to be able to do it together with other IH'ers!
