I have a mailing list of 1000 subscribers. How should I use it to launch my new SAAS?

Hi there,

I’m the creator of Monica (40k users) and in 2021 I’ll launch a new startup, OfficeLife.

OfficeLife is open source (GitHub) and I plan to release the first version in a couple of months. I've been building the product in the open (on Twitter. It will also be, of course, a SAAS.

Thanks to the audience and the traffic I've built for Monica, I decided to put a link at the top of the homepage of Monica to promote my upcoming SAAS, OfficeLife.

This lead to collect 1200 email addresses so far.

The thing is – I’m no marketer and I have no clue on what I could say to the 1200 subscribers of this newsletter. I've started a "Feature preview" series, but I have no idea what else I should say.

Do you have any tips or useful information about how I could create an interesting newsletter to prepare for the launch?

🙏 Thanks!

Have you already launched the product, or are you still facing this problem?

I'm in the (kinda) same boat at the moment.

I'm trying to keep people in the loop by sending them updates of what I'm working on - similar to your "Feature previews". It's a great way to get feedback from users to make sure you're moving in the right direction.

Apart from that, I'm not really sure what else to say or how to create a "hype" before the launch.

Looking forward to see other answers.
