I made a chrome extension to stop me from shopping on Amazon. What do you think?

Last year, I ended up spending a bunch of money on random shit... like $200-$300 a month on random stuff from IG or books I never read.

I work in tech so I had a friend make a chrome extension to help me keep myself in check last week. I think it could help other folks so I wanted to share.

Great project :) What's your tech stack for chrome extensions?

This is amazing and also hilarious!

I want to send to my sisters because we have a running joke that they have a shopping addictions.

    Love it!

That's so funny! Launch it as massively as possible and see if Amazon suddenly decides to buy you out!

I like the simplicity. The friction is enough to stop your impulse.
I had a similar problem, however, not with money. I got all my reading centralized on my feed reader, which I ended checking every five minutes. I made a simple browser extension that blocks Feedbin unless there is a pre-set number of unread articles. https://github.com/alaq/feedbin-blocker

Cool idea but online shops won't be happy about it. I wonder what would be the point of partnering with somebody that harms their revenues...

This is interesting! Could have been useful for prime day too :P
