Since Stripe is not available in my country, Serbia, I need a good alternative.
Hopefully it has somewhat developer friendly api as Stripe does.
Do you know of any good alternative?
I used to have a company in Estonia. Their tax system is pretty easy: no taxes on company revenues. You just pay taxes in your country of residence on the salary you extract from the company.
I recommend https://www.xolo.io/ for their great knowledge base and their excellent support in company management (they managed my company setup, bookkeeping and liquidation).
I'm happy to chat more if you have any question about e-residency, a company in Estonia or anything related.
It looks great and easy. I will give it a try. Only thing that stopping me is that I have to visit Estonian Embassy in my city to collect document which I can't take risk during pandemic.
Nothing is as good as Stripe but I was pretty fast when trying out Gumroad.
Adyen and Paypal are other solutions (but Paypal is rather developer unfriendly from my experience)
For draftss.com I was using 2checkout until Stripe launched in beta in our country.
2checkout is not the best when it comes to API & development, but it can definitely work out.
I had tried Paddle, which is really great. Although they have a list of business types that they do not allow. So do check that out before you spend time integrating Paddle into your system. When I tried it, it used to charge 5% + $0.5 for each transaction, I hear the pricing has increased now and it is no longer available on their website and you have to request a quote for it.
+1 for Paddle. I have used it for Freddy Feedback because it takes away a lot of the administrative hassle. The only thing that you're not going to find in the docs and only at the end of your implementation: when a customer pays (subscription or one-off) they will send a webhook event. That can take 2-4 seconds. So if a custom pays, you have to then send them somewhere, eg show a loading screen, while at the same time checking if the webhook came through. My onboarding is account creating, then payment through Paddle, and only after that you can access the dashboard. So I had to build this logic as described. I've been in touch with their tech support and they confirmed that this is indeed the way to do it. In the end it was OK it's just good to know up front so you can plan out the steps and the logic.
Hello
I would suggest https://fastspring.com/ if you decided not to use Stripe. We use Stripe and its great, but had some friendship with Fastspring on some previous projects and are also satisfied
Also consider GumRoad and Podia in addition to Paddle. Although the big difference between Stripe and these others is that they are all "Merchants of Record" in the sense that they are an intermediary between you and the end user.
They charge more than Stripe but they also take care of all taxation issues (sales tax, VAT, GST, etc.).
If compliance is important to you then all of these are better than Stripe anyway.
Why not to become an e-resident of Estonia? Stripe is available there. But yes, there are plenty of alternatives, e.g. Braintree of Paypal.
How does taxing works for Estonia? Do I need to pay tax both in Estonia and my home country?

I can't answer your question, I have not filed for one

Paddle!
I like Mollie (it's a Dutch based organisation). Although it requires a little bit more work to setup.
thanks, I will take a look
Paddle?
Thanks! I will take a look.
Have you used Paddle, what was your experience like?

Paddle
Like many others mentioned, try to take a look at Paddle. We use it for Plausible Analytics and it does what it needs to do without issues.

Paddle, CheckoutPage...
Paddle, definitely. I'm using it and have no problems whatsoever.
