I quit my job to go full-time as a SaaS Founder 😱

I did it!! 😱

I made that final move!
I closed all contracts with my current clients to go full-time on FeedHive.

From today, I'm officially no longer a consultant.

I'm a SaaS Founder 🔥

Scary? Yes!
Absolutely amazing? Also yes 😍

I started building FeedHive no longer than 100 days ago!
The near future that's staring at me right now:
A team of 5 people. A ton of commitments. A lot of fun and excitement!
Very, very little guarantee that we'll succeed!

Will I have regrets?
Absolutely no!

I will be building in public as long as it makes sense, and I hope that you'll follow along on my journey 🙏

I'm live on YouTube tomorrow at 5 PM (CET), talking about this crazy decision.

That's awesome! Out of curiosity, what tech stack u are using for FeedHive?

    1. 2

      Thank you 🙏

This is a question that I've gotten a lot 😁
So I made a YouTube video explaining it in detail.

      Here it is:

This is a great achievement. Very inspiring.

What was your path to going from 250 Twitter followers to 36k like? Do you have resources to recommend?

  3. 3

@SimonHoiberg Awesome man all the best 🔥Website looks great.

  4. 2

Tillykke! Looks like a cool product. Good luck in the future!

  5. 2

Congrats! I hope to follow your lead in the next two months or so

Question, did you use a gatsby template / theme for feedhive page, if so where did you get it? or designed it from scratch yourself?

    1. 1

      Thank you 🙏

It's built with Gatsby, but I created it from scratch (with a bit of inspiration from a few other webpages).

But we're actually redesigning the whole thing because it's... mja 😅 Not the best.

Hey are you starting an actual business entity? If so how are you thinking about when is the right time to do that?

Congrats on taking the leap, Simon!

    1. 1

I already own a company in Switzerland, and thus far, the IP of FeedHive is owned by that company.

But I am in the process of incorporating FeedHive as its own entity, and then let my current company be the holding company.

I think it makes sense when things begin to get serious, and as soon as you begin to split equity, you need a proper corporation that can issue shares.
You can co-own the IP of a software product, but it quickly becomes a bit messy.

      1. 1

Ah I see, in what country are you incorporating FeedHive in, Switzerland?

  7. 2

Wow, that's great! I wish you luck in your journey. Don't forget to share interesting details and lessons you'll learn :)

    1. 1

Thanks a lot! You bet I will 😁

  8. 2

Congrats that's a big step! See you on the stream!

  9. 2

  10. 2

I'm sure that you've made the right decision

  11. 2

This looks great! It’s going to be an interesting journey but it will be all worth it! Just think of all the new lessons you will leans and new friends you will meet on Twitter and IH ! 🎉🥳

    1. 1

      Exactly 🤩
      I can't wait!

  12. 2

Great work Simon - looks like your off to a good start! Already have a solid product out there.

Loved scrolling past that wall of social proof too.

    1. 2

      That's awesome 🙌
      Thank you very much!

  13. 2

So cool! you're on your way to success dude :)

Great product, I've really been looking into the possibilities of tools like these.

Here's a free idea I was thinking about last week:

Lots of people on twitter cross promote their content to reddit and can get more views that way.

If you could somehow turn tweet threads into reddit posts you have a way for people on twitter to increase their reach and can charge even more money! $$$

    1. 2

      That's a great suggestion 😁
We're working hard on adding integrations with LinkedIn and Instagram!
But we may look into Reddit support as well!

  14. 1

Congrats! We'd love to talk to you for the GoSquared Newsletter if you'd be up for it?

That sounds great, I'd definitely be up for that 😁

    Awesome 👏
Does FeedHive already have enough income to pay your bills?

    1. 1

      No 😅
      Not even close!

      That's the part that's scary!

  16. 1

That's awesome! Congrats!! 💪 What's the value prop of FeedHive compared to other tools like https://buffer.com/?

    1. 1

      Thank you 😁
Well, first of all: more fair pricing.
Secondly, we fill a couple of feature gaps that Buffer currently doesn't support.
For instance, the ability to write and schedule threads on Twitter.
