I used TikTok partnerships to grow my productized service by $4000 MRR

Hey all! A little background first:

I started my productized service, Teamtown, in late 2020 during Covid.

Productized services in the design space were much less saturated back then and we managed to grow to $25,000 MRR in 2021 through paid ads, cold outreach, and referrals.

Fast forward to now, finding new ways to grow has been all the more important. I found TikTok creators who's audience match my target customer and proceeded to negotiate an organic sponsored post.

Essentially, the creator would showcase themselves using our service and briefly touch on some of the main features. The video would be very short, under 1 minute, while trying to appear as organic as possible. It would be up to the viewer to Google us afterward as the post would include no links or tags.

Initially I had thought this would only be effective for b2c and e-commerce, especially for products and services at a lower price point. I was very wrong.

After launching the video, our traffic immediately went crazy and we started getting a rush of demo bookings. All in all, I've managed to sign up an additional $4000 MRR from $1500 spent.

It seems that the general idea around TikTok is that only young people and consumers are spending time on it. The truth is, people of all ages and professions are on TikTok now. No matter what you offer, theres a high chance you could find audiences that would be enticed by what you're offering on there. One of the customers I signed up is well into his 50's.

I'm doubling down on this now. But my prediction is that much more services, especially SaaS, will start doing the same.

Awesome, thanks for sharing this. Can I ask how much you paid for each video? Maybe a starting price to offer TikTok creators if you'd rather not be specific.

Apologies for the late reply! We paid in the range of $100-$1000 per video depending on the creator's audience size and engagement rate.

    Hey Alex,
how did you find the right creator for your campaign? Did you use some kind of service or you already knew the person?

I used hashtags to find them, and then I just used their post stats and following count to decide who to actually reach out to.

I needed at least a few thousand views per each recent post and a following of over 10k.

I'm targeting marketers, so some of the hashtags I used included:

      #marketers
      #marketingtok
      #marketing
      etc...
