I was lucky enough to quit my job, with steady 4000$ monthly profits from Amazon.

Hey Everyone,

Like I said in my last post, I’m going to share my tips about how to create a steady side income with Amazon drop-shipping.

Here’s a quick recap.

I was building a so-called startup. But we failed. I was in college and I need to make money.

I started this Amazon side business. After Graduation, I started working in a web development agency.

Because my side Amazon business creates enough cash flow for at least 1 year. I decided to quit my job.

To pursue my product idea.

I realized how painful it is to manage stores from different countries with different products.

So, I started building Jansky. It’s an analytics and automation tool for Amazon Drop shipping.

Start Small and Do things that don’t scale
Start with a couple of items. Don’t try to sell dozens of things. Find a couple of niches and try to increase conversion rate.

Free-shipping

One of the most important variable for Amazon: Free shipping. We tried to provide free-shipping, even if we lose money.

And eventually we start listing at the top.

When needed, feed shipping on to the product.

Amazon tip
Less Profits more Units
In the beginning, there is no feedback or comments on your store. Amazon has no trust in your store.

Make sales and do great fulfilments. Even with less profits. Don’t think much else. Because you need comments and feedback.

Don’t make a lot of price and fulfillment changes. This decreases the trust. Your first goal is to gain trust from Amazon.

So that you can list higher.

Lowest Price

Amazon has several variables on its recommendation. Lowest price is one of them. So, try to find products that you can offer at the lowest prices.

Customer Satisfaction

I know it sounds cheesy. But Amazon is really obsessed with customers. You probably saw Bezos talking about customer obsession.

There will be instances where you’re 100% right. Don’t fight with customers. If you want to continue this business. No matter what, make customers happy.

Account Health

I have aggregated a couple tips together under this title.

  • Make a full refund. Even if you lose money.
  • Don’t list banned products.
  • Always satisfy delivery times.
  • Don’t list dozens of products.
  • Read Amazon policies.

The goal is to have a great account health in the long term. Don’t play the short term game.

Thanks for reading, I hope it helps :)

Thanks for sharing. Have you tried dropshipping products where you can compete on value, rather than price?
