I will pay you $100 for a course prototype

Hey Indie Hackers!

We are building Eduflow (www.eduflow.com) and will soon release a new course template gallery. The idea is that new users can start with a template course that showcases how you can use Eduflow instead of starting from scratch.

We already have a bunch of good templates, but we want more! So I wanted to hear if any of you are interested in making $100 by providing us with a great template.

Requirements:

  • You sign up for Eduflow and make a new course in there.
  • The course does not need to be a whole course, just part of a course to showcase the possibilities of Eduflow. You could for example take one week of an existing course.
  • We prefer courses that are more than just videos, so if you have an idea that uses student submissions, video submissions, instructor feedback, peer review or something like that it is much more interesting.

Write a comment here or reach out at [email protected] if you are interested :).

Does your site have multi-language support? I had a few courses taught in other languages than English and can consider creating out there.

    1. 1

Not really. Most of the course can be written in any language, but main navigation of the site and general copy will be in English. We do have many people using Eduflow to teach a course in a different language than English since 99% of the things students see is the stuff created by the instructor.

        Sounds good.

BTW I checked your landing page. It sounds a bit more general, and doesn't read like it is targeting online course creators like me, especially when I read universities or students.

Hi, does your software allow to add hints and quizzes to text/video?

    1. 1

Unfortunately we don't support quizzes yet (we will at some point).

      1. 1

how about hints? i.e. a question is asked and the user has the option to ask for a hint, before clicking on the answer.

        1. 2

Good question. We don't have official support for it, but you can kinda hack it with some of our features.

Eduflow is built of "learning activities" which you can think of as building blocks. Each activity has a description, and you can choose to hide the description for students until the activity opens.

So one way you could do this is to have three activities A, B and C. A has the question, B the hint and C the answer. You can set it up with dependencies such that students can decide when they want the hint. Let me know if it doesn't make sense, then I can try to make an example.

Hey David! Sounds awesome. I've been thinking about doing a few Notion courses :)

    1. 1

Awesome, that is a great idea! We use Notion ourselves and love it :). In a Notion course it would be awesome to make it very practical and have students create stuff on Notion as part of the course. Then they could share public Notion pages to showcase their work!

      1. 1

Cool! Eduflow allows to track these student deliverables? Also, do you have a deadline on this deal?

        1. 1

          Yes!

Good question about deadline. I would love it to be finished before the end of this month.

  6. 1

    YES I'M INTERESTED

Awesome! Let me know what you plan to make (either here in a comment, or on [email protected]).

Hey I have been contemplating creating a course and have some material created already. I can use this opportunity to build out my course outline. Let me know how to go about it please. Thanks!
