Idea #1 👋: Templates autofilling and choose the best one by scrolling

Hi here!

We're developing https://pixiko.com/ - online video editor and maker. And now we've realized templates and remembered about our old idea about template autofilling - now I will try to describe it in few words and one video 🙂

Problem:
When I'm using Canva, Promo, Animoto or another templates tool I constantly face this problem:

I choose a template -> it looks really nice -> I add some my data like images, videos or texts -> and (problem is coming) this templates with my data doesn't look so nice anymore (the text color doesn't match my picture and etc).

I close this templates, choose another one and do the same things and... I get sh*t again 😡

Idea or Solve:
In Pixiko we want to realize some interface where you could add your data (like videos, images, text and etc), click on GENERATE-button and see your data in ALL Pixiko's TEMPLATES at the same time. I think it's brilliant 🤩because you immediately see how it looks like with your data and can choose the best one just scrolling 🕺

Do you have that problem? How do you think about solution?

P.S. On this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4iQjUIPOl3s&t=20s (at 35 s) there's early version of this interface 😎

Do you have a problem filling out templates with your data and getting horrible result?
  1. Yes, it's really waste my time! 👹

Even temporary solution to save data, like local storage or save to .json would help to many of those "fill the config" sites, but nobody is thinking on it

Yes, this is actually the case 😁

The only thing that is not quite clear (in the context of our solution) how to make a common interface for initial data... Some mutation may be...

Standardise it - use same field names or id's to save the config. Doesn't matter how fields are sorted on screen later, it will always fetch values from the same id's. You can have 10's of screens fetching the values from same config file.

Yeah, I see it. I think about user interface.

For example user has text and video. I really understand how to propose some templates with its video and text. But if user has 2 or 3 text and video...

May be giving add some fields from basic types 🧐

I think it's a great idea. Sounds similiar to how font sites work, for example Google Fonts.
What do you think about integrating https://cliply.co into Pixiko 🤔

      Thanks 😊

Oh, we are always open for partnership, just email me - vadim [+] pixiko.com 👌
