Idea: JustDiagnosed

The idea came from discussing a condition my friend had recently been diagnosed with (UC). They had no idea where to turn, what to do, or what research to even do. They didn't know what resources to utilize, how to attack the problem, or how to find a path through which they could fight this condition.

This got me thinking. What if there was a site that aggregated information about these things? So say, you were just diagnosed (gd forbid) with diabetes, you could go on the site and enter some personal information such as age, weight, etc, and get a composed report of resources, links, information, and a personal recommendation from a doctor about how to approach this issue. The report could be sent to you for lets say 20 bucks or something.

I think this could provide tremendous value for people who need help figuring out how to handle a condition that is potentially life changing.

Please give me your feedback on this one, super appreciated!

  1. 1

I can completely see the value proposition, and £20 would be a no brainer.

My main issue would be why would I trust you over a general google search? I feel it will take you a long time to develop the authority needed to get people to trust you, especially when you're asking for money in return.

I own a dental clinic in the UK, a country where the primary medical service is at the point of exhaustion, and I come across a lot of patients with new medical diagnoses that don't know how to move forward and can't find the support they need to act on the news.

Keep in touch, would love to see how you get on!
