Hi.
We're building a skill search and resume database for small to medium sized digital consultancies and agencies.
I've come across this problem first at my old employer and now running my own small agency, so I figured that I might as well try and indie hack it.
The name of the product is Phiabo and you can find our landing page at https://phiabo.com/ (the name is subject to change). We're currently looking for beta users.
I'd love any critique for the landing page and for the idea itself. Especially if you have an agency background.
The page needs a lot of work.
The big first image isn't saying anything
lots of text that isn't unique or enticing to read..
Hey,
Interesting idea!
Did you conduct any UX interviews with your potential customers? Amount of text looks a bit overwhelming, maybe it's worth validating how your customers react to it and convert to the CTA
And what do you think about narrowing your first potential market to one of the agency types first (e.g. web designers) and then after you reach the product/market fit for your first niche to expand it further to adjacent agency/consultancy types?
Hello,
I think the idea is great.
I do suggest a video-demo at the landing page, you know, just to be perfect clear about the concepts / usage.
Good luck!
Hello @Pandabob.
I think that the idea is good. When I look at the landing page I miss a clear call to action. I think it might be beneficial to have some better visuals showing the idea in practice.
Thanks will tweak it to be more straight forward and with a better CTA button.
I think it's a good idea. Especially what stood out to me was the idea of a constantly updated, and variable database of resumes. For a consultancy that seems really powerful.
I've worked in small design and advertising agencies and in that context I think these tools are less relevant, but probably more useful in bigger agencies where it's much harder to know all the resources that are available.
I think there's too much copy opening up the homepage that wasn't quite clear or enticing. Just throwing some ideas out there...

Phiabo is a tool for consultancies and agencies to update and track of everyone's skillset. Find who you need, when you need them. Easily search for the skills you need, then customise and export CVs.
Design wise, the image on the homepage is too dominant. You could try splitting that initial view so the the type is on the left and the image is smaller on the right. Image should support the text, then it puts it in context and is more easily understood.
having said that, I wouldn't worry so much about the illo right now. Get this in front of agencies and consultancies and work on the copy.
Good luck!
Thanks that's good feedback!
