For me its my own newsletter. I'm writing it because no one else has attempted to write it and it's a lot of work, but quite rewarding. I would happily pay $50-100/year for the newsletter I am writing for the length of my professional career. I hope I am not writing it for the length of my career unless it actually becomes my career.
This newsletter is what I needed (but didn't know it) during my undergraduate and graduate school life too. I think it's super niche. There are no good Facebook groups or LinkedIn groups. There is a small community on twitter under #chemtwitter, but I am more or less looking for #polymerchemtwitter and all of the associated industries around it.
Polymer and industrial chemistry play a pivotal role in all aspects of our modern lives from clothing to car tires to computers and microchips to agriculture and beyond.
Indie Hackers lol
goes into IH database and gifts @kasiamanolas 100 forum points
Hahaha thanks for building so much value here! Btw, do the points on IH mean anything beyond showing how much activity a person has?
if you only have a few points you can't make posts with multiple links in them. this is a safeguard against spammers.
otherwise it's a vanity metric. but we're working on actual benefits behind the scenes. more on that soon(ish)!
Haha the good ‘ol all-in-one. 😉
