A few weeks ago I made a public commitment to participate in this community every day for at least 30 days. I am happy to report that I ended that experiment 2 weeks ago and participating on IH has become automatic behavior now (something I do without tracking or needing reminders).
Before the site redesign (when I had this post in draft) there was a line on my profile that said "I am a mysterious individual...perhaps hiding a scandalous life of indie hacking" or something to that effect 😇. While I liked that little text, I never updated my profile because I didn't know what to say or share. Well I still don't know what to say (and not quite ready to share my personal website, needs more content) but I do feel like a part of this community now. 🙌
My updated habit grid:
Go for it, best read I ever had for making new habits is ‘atomic habits’. 100% recommended if you are looking into building new habits that stick.
Absolutely. I've read that one and couple books on habit. Applying the principles from those books to your own context and doing the upfront work of starting a new habit is where people sometimes struggle in my experience. I wrote more about it here :) https://bhumimakes.com/how-to-build-new-habits/
Happy to hear you feel like part of the community now, and excited to see the mystery continue to unveil 😄
Hi @dkb868, I remember chatting with you couple months ago. Hope all is well! I need to add more content to my personal site and then that'll be the next thing I can share officially :)
