I'm trying to validate an idea. Have you had this problem?

Hey all, so I had an idea for a website but I wanted to check if the problem I'm trying to solve is actually a problem at all.

Have you guys ever tried planning a "reunion" trip where you meet up with all your friends/family living in different cities? Like if you have friends who went to college out of state and you wanted to meet up somewhere in the middle or something like that.

If so, what kinds of tools did you use, if any at all? And what was the process like?

I never had this problem locally with friends but as a digital nomad yes.
If you want to plan a meetup with other traveling friends or meet as a group.
in was trying to solve something related with FomoMap but never hit the right point

Thanks for the reply! I didn't think about the digital nomad angle. Just wondering about that - do digital nomads typically do a lot of in person meetups with other digital nomads who are in other cities?

Also, FomoMap looks interesting! I think it could be like the "first step" towards the problem I'm describing here. Like after people connect across the world using the FomoMap, they want to meet somewhere in the middle.

Not really organized meetups since it's complicated and takes ages to organize. but most of the time just spontaneous gathering. One of the issues I was trying to solve with FomoMap is that you are in the city but you don't know that other people from your online community are there or traveling there soon and you miss meeting each other.
