Indie Roulette - Easily Browse Indie Websites

Hi everyone,

I just released Indie Roulette so that we can quickly swipe through indie websites.

https://www.indie-roulette.com/

The app has two components: a navbar fixed to the top and an iframe below which acts as a window to the target indie site. The navbar shows the target site's url and includes an arrow button which can be clicked to navigate to the next site.

To list your website for free, simply submit your URL at https://www.indie-roulette.com/contact/
The site list is updated once daily.

Let me know what you think of this idea!

Haha, great idea! Just submitted https://zlipa.com 🙏

Great idea! :) Bookmarked the site.

I think it's a fun way to do it :)

Do you check submissions or is it automatic? Because you might end-up with crappy websites...

By the way, I added www.colofon.io to the list!

I’ll vet the URLs manually. Mostly to make sure the sites are active and working. It’s no problem if the site is not a huge success, just so long as it’s viewable etc it’s ok. Would be nice to update the list automatically + instantly, but I value a smooth experience more.

It is fun! In testing I added a bunch of sites that were submitted here and it works like a charm. Instead of digging through posts (maybe several pages deep) to find a link, you just click next and you’re already there. I enjoyed using it anyways. A real quick way of playing with indie apps.

      Thanks for your comment :D

Thanks for tweeting it! Yeah there is no Indie Roulette Twitter account currently. Maybe I should make one and tweet out every new addition. Thanks for the idea!

Please note that if the site seems to be down for a few seconds it will be because I am updating it with submitted websites. It will work if you try again a minute later. Thanks!
