Information junkies

More often then not I find myself consuming information rather than learning. The huge amount of great content out made me an Information junkie. What do you use in order to gather, summarise and file valuable pieces of information?

  1. 1

The thing is that we all need to know A LOT of stuff - may it be technical if you're a developer - or business related issues. I feel that getting thoughts and lessons learned aligned becomes pretty challenging if you're a one person show.

  2. 1

Imo, gathering, summarising, and filing information is often simple procrastination.

Read and apply what is directly relevant, leave the rest be if you don't need it.

  3. 1

Focus on a target action rather than knowledge acquisition. If you need it and use it you'd remember. It's less wasteful.
If you need some base to work off there is the lean startup and there is some "start here" link on IH.
