As emphasized in this article, there's a huge difference between what we see in movies / TV, and real life. But it's also true for many business success stories you can read in the news and books. Problem with success stories is that they often give you the feeling that success comes all of a sudden, especially because many boring details are omitted.

Well said. I agree 100% that inspiration is overrated, but I also think that it's important. Anyway, I think that "Motivation is overrated" would be a much more precise title.
I think James Clear has a similar quote -- Motivation is what gets you started, habits are what keep you going.
You could say motivation is overrated, while consistency is underrated.
