Inspiration is overrated

I think James Clear has a similar quote -- Motivation is what gets you started, habits are what keep you going.

You could say motivation is overrated, while consistency is underrated.

    Couldn't agree more.
As emphasized in this article, there's a huge difference between what we see in movies / TV, and real life. But it's also true for many business success stories you can read in the news and books. Problem with success stories is that they often give you the feeling that success comes all of a sudden, especially because many boring details are omitted.
It's basically what the survival bias is about!

You can have all the skills in the world, and work as hard as a bull...

But if you are not inspired, what would happen?

I agree.Inspiration can't be the fuel but it can be the spark.Working without knowing why you're doing whatever you're doing is 😬

Well said. I agree 100% that inspiration is overrated, but I also think that it's important. Anyway, I think that "Motivation is overrated" would be a much more precise title.

Couldn't have said it better myself. 👍
