Is Telegram channel a good way to build a community?

Heya folks! 👋
I've recently started a Telegram channel where every day, I share one bite-sized excerpt from one of the 50+ books I read in 2020. Think of these as actionable ideas to spark your thoughts or simply prompts for serendipity.

How can I increase engagement? People are seeing it but I feel the current format is not inviting enough to engage. What are some things I can try out here? Or should I abandon Telegram altogether for some other channel? Link for reference: http://t.me/reademy

    How can I increase engagement?

I would say think about the kind of engagement you want. That would lead you towards an answer. Is this community you are building going to be potential customers or just a group of like minded people? Since you said actionable ideas, do you want them to share things that worked for them and things that didn't? How they built on top your ideas/sparks..?

Once you are clear on the kind of engagement you are looking for, I think the kind of tool you looking for could be anything from running polls on telegram group to launching a weekly meetup or a discord server.
