On my last post, I mentioned that I had two developers that practically delivered nothing for my product and would like to share my updates.
For one, 20/45 pages are now developed within the last 3 weeks from my new developer. He is building the frontend first then coding the backend. I am proud of the work he has done as well as the web technologies he has skilled me on.
Previously, my other developer only delivered 6 pages in almost three months. I was wildly disappointed and he admitted he was too busy with his full time to complete work on time. We agreed to moving forward from each other but, that gave me the opportunity to build out a better product roadmap for my product.
The website is being built in ReactJS, NodeJS, and NoSQL Database. He deploys his work on netlify so I can review it every Friday.
What have I done differently?
My project should be rolled out for Beta Testing by end of February and I am so excited. I must say providing documentation has lead to better success. Zoom calls are nice but providing that initial documentation really helped my new developer out.
Take accountability in your mistakes, I did and now we seem to be on the right track.
