Userlist is a growing startup founded by two industry experts — Jane Portman and Benedikt Deicke. We're committed to building the best email marketing tool for SaaS companies, while our competitors are spreading themselves thin between different industries.
We're looking for an experienced frontend developer to help us build new features and improve our existing user experience.
This is a full-time remote contractor position (approximately 40 hours/week).
You'll be joining the team as our first engineering hire and taking over most of the frontend development responsibilities from Benedikt. Your main focus will be our user interface and our in-app messaging widget.
You'll be working on the user-facing parts of new features, improving our existing user interface and experience, and maintaining the codebase. For new user interface components and layouts, you'll be implementing the provided designs in HTML, CSS, and Ember Octane. In addition, you'll be reviewing pull requests from team members and helping with (frontend related) customer support issues when they come up.
Both our user interface and in-app messaging widget are built with Ember 3.28 and we're working towards completing the transition to Ember Octane.
Dozens of other companies are competing with us for your time and skills. Why should you choose Userlist over another company?
Even though we've been around for a while now, we're still a small team. We value a calm and low stress work environment and mostly use asynchronous communication.
You'll be deeply involved in the product development and your contributions will have a direct influence on the company's future success. This comes with a fair share of responsibility, but you'll never be alone in making important decisions.
We hold strong technical & ethical opinions, as well as high design standards, so you'll be proud of the product you're working on.
Head over to our website to learn more and fill out the application form. We encourage you to apply even if you don't feel like you match the description 100%. Many great people tend to undervalue their skills, so we don't want to miss the chance of meeting you.
Hope to see you soon 💛
