I don't know, what I was thinking, but I bought the domain blubbr.app.
I was thinking about local-first blob storage with optional cloud synchronization due to an article I read on HackerNews. The idea for blubbr.app was thus born.
It's meant to be installed as a local server on each machine with an optional external synchronization point between machines for collaboration, with versioned documents / blobs and conflict handling.
The logo will be a fat seal. Picture related.
Sounds nice , where the storage will take place ? on the machine ?
The data stored will be placed on your local machine, as the blob storage will run locally on the client machine. The blob storage will then, if set up to do so, synchronize to another blob storage to allow for cross-device updates.
That is the idea at least. :)
is CDN like service with origin and nodes ?
In a sense, yes.
There are one blob storage per device / user and they all synchronize with a sort of "primary blob storage".
