Keep up with Twitter without scrolling through your entire feed
Hey everyone! If you're like me and check Twitter, Indie Hackers, or Hacker News multiple times each day, yet feel bad about it each time - I think I have a solution!
Right now it's a feed of articles that people you follow on Twitter commented on in the past week. And it's just the articles, without any other Tweets:
The idea is that people you trust will curate information better than any algorithm designed for engagement. If 5 people you know shared something this week, it's likely more worthwhile than the newest post you see. You'll not miss anything that matters, but avoid a majority of the noise. Basically, it's applying this quote to things we consume online:
“To be completely cured of newspapers, spend a year reading the previous week’s newspapers.” - Nassim Taleb
What do you think of the idea? Have you used other news aggregators like Nuzzel or RSS readers?
I was not aware when Nuzzel came out, but now that I do I really like the project you're onto here. Definitely useful :)
I also never got a chance to use it. 😄 But there are now a few products doing the same thing - Twitter Top Articles is the main one (they bought Nuzzel).
I want to focus more on useful articles rather than news. Using your existing Twitter network is really a killer feature.
