First $10k earned online. @kieranball of Launch MBA shipped a lot of projects to get here. Most of them flopped, and every one of them was necessary. Here's why:
In the past year, I've shipped about 17 projects. I just started building like crazy after discovering no-code.
For six years before that, I'd been in an endless loop: Get an idea, try to validate it, ignore the complete lack of validation, try to learn to code, fail to build it, fail to find a technical co-founder, and repeat.
No-code changed everything. But even with that, most of my projects flopped. Despite almost a decade of consuming startup wisdom, I made the same old mistakes. It just didn't start sinking in until I started shipping.
Luckily, I knew the importance of having grit, so my motivation didn't wane. And since having my first child two years ago, I'm painfully aware of the life moments I'm missing out on when I'm in the office. That makes the lure of side-hustle-freedom stronger than ever.
My theory is that everyone has at least five terrible business ideas in them, and until you've moved past those by launching and failing, you won't get to your good ideas. I reasoned that the harder I worked, the sooner it would happen. And now I've finally made my first $10,000 online.
