Hello all, it is my first time building a landing page and I would appreciate all feedback before we launch. The link is: https://festapi.io
Some background information / key areas of interest:
- The website is built entirely "by hand" line by line, i.e. no landing page generators / ready blocks of html/css or such have been used. I am not sure how people generally approach this and if there are any major benefits / fallbacks from doing so?
- I am quite content with it. However, the thing that bugs me a little is if it is too text heavy (the font is also quite small compared to other landing pages I see). My concern is primarily related to the 2nd and 3rd kind of blocks ("Join the democratization of APIs" and "Unleash the full value of your APIs") on the landing page.
Thanks!
Hey oskarif,
No particular pros/cons of building a page by hand or with a generator. People use the tools they have available to them :)
I have to say I'm a little confused about your value prop. I think a big reason is that not all APIs are number-centric (I would even say most are not) so they can't be visualized with graphs. Maybe you could add an adjective, say "Visualize and embed your data API with ease". Actually, maybe remove "your" too. That helps broaden my horizon, making it clear it doesn't have to be my API. How about: "Turn data APIs into embedable charts in seconds"?

Keep it up!

Hi Ben, thank you for taking the time to study the product and take the time to write such a detailed reply. It is very valuable input that you provide.
It seems that you did understand the value proposition, as we are targeting APIs that provide data, more precisely numerical data (at least for now).

Thank you again for your input and hope to see you again after we launch.
