Launched MVP for Twitch Clips Website

I finally launched the MVP for a new project I'm working on. I figured I'd post it here since people interested in games would be more likely to be interested in Twitch as well.

I think clips are a great feature, but the interface on Twitch is really lacking when it comes to clips, and some of the more recent UI changes are questionable in terms of accessing clips. I like to watch clips everyday to catch up on streams that I miss but I thought there could be more done to make the experience better than what I saw out there. Let me know what you think.

Cool idea and I like the site! Was it difficult integrating with the Twitch API?

IMO, the name isn't very appealing, I'd go for something more 'catchy' like clippy.tv

No, the Twitch API was actually quite nice to use! The only thing was that you can only get clips via games or via streamers (not just the most watched clips from all of Twitch). So I had to be creative in how I gather clips and create my own algorithms for trending, new, etc. but that was the fun part! It's pretty basic right now but it's nice that I can change it at any time.

Yeah the name I went with is very "utility" rather than a brand. The competitors I saw all had names that were some mix of "livestream" or "twitch" and then "clips", "fails", "highlights" etc. so I did the same. If I get any traction I think I might change to a more brandable name like you suggest (I like that it's shorter too).

I don't really know much about twitch but the clips trend is something popular on youtube.

Congrats on shipping and it seems like a really solid idea :)

Thanks! Yeah I think clips are a good alternative to long form content, especially when it comes to long live streams
