Launched the pre-sales and promotion of our new newsletter last Monday - just hit 10 subs

It's slower progress than we wanted, but it's all good news.

A few notables -

  • Positive feedback from current subs
  • One big name has helped promote and loves the content
  • CVR from sales page view to sign up is ok, but I'm working on collecting data to improve it (currently at 5% CVR)
  • Got myself banned from a relevant Facebook group in the promotion of this. Weird cause all posts followed the community guidelines and there was nothing in the post that linked out to my content. Just a straight value post of our findings.
  • Promotion of this has created ~150 new free email subs in the last 7 days.

A few things we're looking at implementing in the next day or two to drive more sign-ups.

  • Affiliate marketing. Getting people with a relevant audience to promote for a commission.
  • Continue to refine the community promotion methods.
  • More active with the right people on social on social (particularly Twitter & LinkedIn as that's where the target market is active)
  • Continuing to do things that don't yet scale. Manual outreach etc.

I'll keep you posted on how things develop.
