Hey Jay. I like the article and it's great to see how things have changed for you over a few years. I'm just starting the journey into self employment, building sass products and freelancing, and seeing others progress is motivating.
Also, wanted to let you know you've got some character encoding errors in this article.
Your first sentence shows up as ,"It’s safe to say that we’ll all remember 2020."

Great read. Thanks for sharing. I'm in a similar boat, started on my own full-time in Sept '17 (should have eased in, right?). And now pivoting to my own products, instead of client work. Really tough balancing both, but need the paying work. I'm getting closer to cutting out clients. Feels like I'm between your 2018 and 2019.
First years are rough but help you narrow down the best trajectory. It takes a lot of trial and error, refining, side-steps. Once you have realistic understanding of what works and what needs to be done, your on your way to success. Congrats.
