Hard to move over if you already have a lot of plugins and extensions and zaps (Zapier) and what not set up. There’s a whole ecosystem built around Gmail these days.

I see emails like a flow. I don't try to organize and control everything, and I can easily unsubscribe to the ones I don't like anyway. I like what Jason Fried wrote, but that's it. I think they are very inspirational on the marketing side, too.

I'm more thinking about a secured and private email provider, and pay for it.

See you what you mean and am kind of in the same boat, find email manageable so haven’t signed up myself. Agree they executed it well, could be the right fit for some

I was tempted, but then thought a @rosie.land email would bring me many more smiles.

Hey looks great, but 2 major hurdles.

    #1 no custom domains (yet).
#2 we're currently using GSuite and google logins for a lot of our company accounts... This is a big problem for switching to hey with our custom domain. (mostly our fault).

But would I like to use Hey? Absolutely.

Unpopular thing to say, but hey actually solved all my struggles with email. Maybe cause I wasn’t to methodical with email organization and plugins before. Was using apple mail as it is.

Cool to get another perspective! Thanks for sharing Alex. I think there are many positives Hey offers and lots of factors to consider in weighing opinions.

Hey looks great, but do you really want or need a new email address to solve your email problems? What about a new email app or client?

I'm biased, but I don't think you need Hey, what you need is to get your email organized and under control. We built the solution at OrganizeEmail.com - if you have Gmail, check it out, and please let us know what you think.

Good point... Plus, once you pay for a year I believe Hey reserves your email address for you forever, interesting dynamic.

Gotcha, I haven’t attempted onboarding but sounds like there could be some opportunities there? Any ideas on how they could improve?
