Dear hackers,
After a long period of building our app during unusual hours, I'm pleased to announce that Lifebits is live!
https://lifebits.app MVP is now available on both google and apple stores.
Please download, test, criticize and help us to build an even better product.
The whole premise of the app is for you to leave a LifeBit (video, text, image) in a given geolocation for others to retrieve it. Think about it as a "Pokemon Go" of yourself.
Bits can be locked and unlocked.
When locked, the person you share the LifeBit with (you can share with everyone in the globe) can see its content only when at the same location (the app serves as your key).
When unlocked, the content can be seen from anywhere.

There are several features that I feel could be added to improve my experience. But launching the app is a huge milestone so congrats @rpn !
Not only I can share a trip itinerary o friends can follow up what I'm doing and where specifically I've been, but also I can create content so others (random people) would follow. I think people like bloggers which frequently post about restaurants in New York would find this platform interesting because they can tag their favorite restaurants and add a link back to their posts and a quick review + pictures. Over time they can build a catalog of restaurants/posts which would help them engage with their audience.
Thanks @alercunha, you are spot on, so much to be added but the MVP version already allows you to do a lot! Thanks for the support, really means a lot to me.
This is really a cool idea. I'm saying that not only because I've been involved in early testing of the app but because I think you've found something novel in this approach. I can use this app to create "stories" but they are visible on a map which adds a lot of context to it.
Great concept!
Congrats on your launch @rpn β¨π
