Looking for extension page feedback

  1. 2

Hi Palmik, cool extension! It's pretty clear what your extension does, so that's great. But, the first thing that comes to mind as a mac user (which may not be the case for Windows users) is why would I install an extension to capture screen shots, unless the screen shots were full page (ie. scrolled a website down). I can also annotate screenshots on mac and copy/paste the result into Slack. The biggest annoyance with my current flow is that I end up with tons of screenshots on the desktop.

What I would do is focus on how your extension can do things that I can't do currently with desktop screenshots. ie. not requiring me to save screenshots, scrolling a webpage down, saving metadata from a webpage, easily highlighting text, and then copying the URL to my clipboard so it's seamless (like Loom) that would feel stronger.

Hi Kevin, sorry for the late reply (did not notice the notification).

You have a good point, it's a question I have received many times ("how does this differ from screenshot tool on mac / windows") and I need to hone my wording.

The "I end up with tons of screenshots on the desktop" I did not even consider, but it's a great point. I would phrase it something like "Keep things organized and avoid clutter".

I am currently working on redesign of my landing page, including many improvements to the copy, and will definitely apply this to my extension page. Will follow up when it's ready.

One new feature that differentiates it are full-page screenshots (so you don't need to manually scroll and stitch together). I have been using these to provide feedback to others (e.g. https://screenbud.com/shot/31df8f93-596b-4a04-968c-8961b76f48f5)

    Hi everyone,

I am looking for feedback for my extension called ScreenBud. ScreenBud allows you to easily capture your screen, annotate it and instantly share it. I use it tens of times a day.

This is my first public extension, so I am looking to learn how I could improve the extension page. Any tips and tricks you could share? Any feedback?
