๐Ÿ—ž๏ธ ๐ŸŽง Looking for Landing Page feedback

I am looking for some feedback regarding the landing page. Do you think I should change the template of the landing page? Also, should I put a Subscribe button for Android users so that we can inform the users when the Android version is launched? Any other suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

Nice looking landing page! I like the palette you've chosen. A couple points:

    • I'd move the 'Contact us' link to the footer for a cleaner look
    • At first I didn't realise the images on the phone graphic changed - maybe look into making this a little more obvious? Potentially with a different transition?
    • Your body element needs an overflow-x: none;

I think adding a subscribe button for the Android version is a good idea, and I agree with @vitabenes that the download button should be larger.

James, thanks a lot for the detailed feedback. That's very helpful.

I was worried about the color palette but looks like everyone likes it :)

Simple that's good. I'd make the download button larger. Also, the text in the image is too small to read. Why is there a horizontal scroll bar visible - resize the page to fit.

@vitabenes, thanks a lot for the feedback, appreciate it.

I am struggling with the text in the image. I probably have to change the design to make it look bigger and attractive at the same time.

    hey!

first, thanks for following me and my project! really appreciate that!

second... i like what you've done with the landing page.

but, i'm not super-impressed with the title and the sub-head at the very top.

    "be in the know"

i know what that means but is that really why i want to download or use your app? "being in the know" can mean a lot of things...

sub-head flow feels off with a few words. what about:

Business and Tech news in 10 seconds (or less)โ€”we summarize what you need to know, fast.

something fun about that. and, i can connect with "10 seconds" more than 80 words. i mean, i get what you're doing, but, i want to save time, right? so, connect me with the idea of time!

(i'm making a guess on the amount of time it takes to read 80 words... so, you choose the number there!)

@8bit Thanks John for the detailed feedback. The idea of using time makes more sense. We will look into it.

I like what you guys are doing with Yen. All the best!

        thanks friend!

(and it's YEN โ€” all caps! teehee! ๐Ÿคฃ)

@4th_roommate. Steve, Sorry for the delayed response. We are now in the process of redesigning the website. We will get back to you once it's ready. Thanks a lot for the feedback.

@Kevcon80 Kevin, thanks a lot for the suggestion. It looks promising. I will try it out.

Hi. Not a fan of the palette. Perhaps make the background colour and phone background colour different to try some contrast. The text in the phone image is too small. Best of luck.

    1. 1

@rab, thanks for the honest feedback. Yeah, not everyone likes the palette. Planning to change the images in the phone for better visibility.

Looks solid, but on my computer it loads fairly slow, even though my connection is very fast. Upon inspection, it seems you're loading in a bunch of (very large) pictures right in the beginning, which "blocks" the browser and results in a jagged experience.

Also, I see other posters are mentioning a carousel. I see none of that in my browser (Firefox on macOS), but I assume that's what the pictures are for.

That said, I like the colour pallette a lot, and the name is also pretty sweet. :)

    1. 1

      @Nixstrom,

Thanks for the feedback. glad you liked the color palette and the name :)

I have noticed that jagged experience myself as well. I will work on it to make it better.

I donโ€™t think the carousel is very effective. I would add a headline above (the one about business and tech news in 80 words would be a good choice as it clearly conveys what the product is and what makes it different in specific terms) and show the product on the phone screen.

Then you can take the slides about the features and display them below. That will make it easier to read and also fill out the page a little which add the the perceived value.

As others have mentioned, you should also get the CTA above the fold.

    Best of luck!

@SeanKirby, good ideas and agree with the carousel. Not exactly conveying the value of the product. Thanks a lot for the feedback :)

      1. 1

My pleasure. Glad you find it helpful.

I like the minimal approach! I would however like some more context/info (I needed to go to your app store listing to understand what it does). How about including your app store description on the landing page?

"TidBeats is a curated short news app designed to provide latest Business and Technology news in 80 words or less. We curate articles and topics from all over the world and provide summaries in digestible format. Save your time by reading or listening to the summaries."

    1. 2

@azei Daniel, thanks for the feedback. Yeah, I would add that detailed description to it.

Btw, great job with Mapsery. Loved the product and the website :)

    Interesting color palette! ๐Ÿ™ƒ

Yeah, Iโ€™d let the Linux via Google crowd know when a version is ready for them. ๐Ÿ˜

@c0nsilience. Lol, thanks for the feedback :)

        No problem! Good luck! ๐Ÿ˜€
