Marketing geniuses and growth hackers, where are you? 👀

Hello!

I'm Mickel, and I like to build products. I've previously successfully launched TAYL, PixelTango, worked on and grown Remente to millions of users, and is now launching Podopi. I work on my own projects full-time, under my company Ultimate Machine.

Looking for someone to join my crew of 1 and be the Jobs to my Woz. 🙏

If you've mastered marketing and growth hacking, you're perfect. If you're still learning the ropes, but is hungrier than your peers, that's also perfect. Big plus if you've got some technical know-how, but coding skills is not necessary.

I'm located in Gothenburg, Sweden but is a strong believer in remote work. 🌎

Hey Mickel - was going to pivot to the same space. I focus on S&M. Let's chat - just shot you an email.

Is there a specific app your looking to market? I can give input if you have specific questions.

I'm primarily looking for a co-founder (with marketing skills) but if you're just want to share some tips I'm all ears for how you would grow Podopi 😄

DM me anywhere if you're interested in partnering up ✌️

        Here would be my tips:

        • try to connect with influencers in the 'how to start a podcast' niche and see if any of them are interested. People like Pat Flynn.
        • try connecting with people who run podcasting agencies like Daxy Perez, Apple Crider, etc.
        • get case studies on its effectiveness for SEO, increasing traffic, and whatnot, and feature them heavily anywhere you can
        • use your software to create a bunch of podcasts for marketing folks who have big audiences but no podcast, and just manage and grow their podcast without their consent. (omg! scandalous!)
        • make a list of 100 marketing influencers who would be blowup the business if they activated their audience to start using your software, and send them 4 messages each, a few days apart each. Email. Linkedin. Fb messenger. Instagram DM. Offer them your software (+managed services by you personally), and perhaps even advisor equity if you get into conversation with them and they need it

        Hope that helps!

Super helpful, I appreciate it a lot 🙏 I had some similar ideas on my list, but the details provided certainly helped spark my inspiration!

I'm currently building a tool that is similar to your 4th idea, but with less work. I can generate emails and cold outreach-messages that embeds the look and feel of what "their" podcast would look like (e.g. final product). Logos, images, brand colors and placeholders filled with actual content from their website. And zero-effort sign-up from there, with everything ready to go.

Hey really cool you grew an app to a million! Good luck on the hire.

Nice projects... who are your competitors for Tayl and podopi?

    1. 1

For TAYL, the big one is Pocket. TAYL sounds way better though, and I've found that my users are willing to pay a premium for that.

There are some similar services to Podopi, but none that does video as well as audio.

That looks like an interesting app. Who would you say your target market is?

    1. 1

Thanks! I suspect writers, authors and bloggers that are looking to increase their reach would be interested in something like this. Just a guess though, I primarily built it because it would be fun to build it, and I wanted to learn programming in Elixir 😄

That's a great method for learning. Learning by doing. I was just wondering about the target market because I feel like a lot of people that might want to do a podcast, would rather just speak. But I think it can have potential if marketed correctly.
How would this make their life easier?
Like, if you had a writter in front of you, how would you explain it to them in the simplest possible way?
