Matomo analytics, GDPR and CCPA compliant, a completely open source alternative to Google Analytics

I thought to share this project I found around while looking for privacy focused alternatives to the widely used analytics platforms such as Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics and Flurry, it's called Matomo https://matomo.org/ and it's fully open source, the code is available here https://github.com/matomo-org/matomo, It's even used by the EU for analytics on their own site.
