Medium now supports custom domains (but only for Medium's $5 per month paying members)

You might have already seen big publications publish stories through Medium on their own custom brand domains.

This feature was privately supported and only accessible to select publications for a long time now.

But now it's made available to everyone for free.

It is perhaps the best and the easiest way to start a blog, get it to reach an existing audience from day one and still own the content.

If I remember correctly, Medium used to offer this sometime back for a one-time-payment (I might be wrong) but anyway get it while it's still there.

I'm gonna go set up my publication now.

Edit: Damn it, that's only for the $5/m paying members. Got so excited so quick. Back to work now.

    Thanks for sharing this info!

I think the custom domains touch is a nice touch. Although, I find that more and more of my favorite writers on the platform are moving off of it.

Yeah, right. It's confusing. I'll change it.

It's only for the paying members, the ones that are paying $5 every month. For them it's included as a part of their subscription.

I don't have that membership so I can't publish on my custom domain. The custom domain section in the settings for me shows "upgrade".
