Mental wellness and personal development skills service

Hey IH, what do you think of a service that offered live, personalized training courses from real humans on mental wellness and personal development skills for goal-oriented people who are stuck in a rut? Would that solve a problem for anyone on here?

I have a coaching business and I'm trying to specialize my services instead of being everything for everyone.

PS All of my services are based on skills I've learned first hand in hospitalization programs for bipolar I psychotic episodes and therapy for c-ptsd.

Sending love to this group of awesome people. Rooting for you.

I think a lot of people here could benefit from it. I see many posts from people claiming they don't know how to pick the right idea or feeling guilty about not putting in enough time.

Lots of all or nothing thinking, "should" self-talk, and more of the common cognitive distortions.

If this had existed a decade ago I might have gone for it, by now I feel like I'm pretty good at dealing with ruts.

I'm really excited about the idea though!

My completely unsubstantiated and un-validated hunch: goal oriented people may lose interest seeing terms such as wellness and personal development. To me those terms imply focusing on self-improvement rather than achieving external goals.

If I was trying to sell past-me on it, I'd focus on the following:

CBT and friends are one of the few therapeutic tools that actually stood up to scientific rigor.

Learning these techniques to deal with your own blind spots will give you clarity and motivation. This will let you try out a bunch of ideas instead of waiting for the perfect one. It will let you be productive when you can, and recover quick instead of beating yourself up over not being high energy 24-7.

Anyway, this is obviously completely biased, take it with a grain of salt.

    Good luck!

PS totally different service, but the lighthearted copy is nice: https://bossasaservice.life/

That's a very good hunch. I've been struggling to find the right descriptive words that will actually draw those types of people in. I like where you went with it -

Last time you were in a rut, what services/tools did you rely on to get yourself out of it? Only if you don't mind me asking.

Thanks for replying :D P.S. Boss As A Service is such a good idea. Love their website.

I found the book "feeling good" by David Burns very helpful. Also for dealing with deeper issues I liked "Cognitive Behavior Therapy" by Judith Beck, although that's intended as a therapist guideline rather than self-service (alhough I found it useful for that).

Feel free to use that description by the way!

If you want I don't mind sharing/brainstorming more but would prefer email over a public forum - this is about as much as I'm comfortable with :)
