Summary:

Substack sells simplicity for writers. Their business revolves around writers who want to start a paid email newsletter.

Basically, Substack acts as a middle man between the writer and the reader. When a reader-pays to a writer that has a newsletter, 10% goes to substack.

At its simplest, a Substack publication is an email newsletter that you can charge money for. You write it, readers pay you, and everyone goes away happy.

As a writer, you get a free website hosted by Substack. Example: YourName.substack.com. Everything you send to your subscribers also gets published on your website. You can also choose to publish articles on your website that don’t go out by email.

Negatives of Substack :

If you want to run a paid newsletter but Stripe is not supported in your country then you can’t use Substack.
Substack only supports one payment gateway that is Stripe.
