Multiple Blog sites? Cross posting bad practice?
Hi,
I am currently start writing blog posts and I am not sure if it is bad practice to cross post blog posts as well. Currently, I started to post only on Medium and cross-reference the Medium post on Reddit, Indie Hacker and Twitter.
Does it makes sense to have two or three blogs running for example hashnode, medium and dev or is it considered bad practice?
The main goal is to write and start building up an audience on Twitter and in general.
Does anybody has a general strategy how to do that in the best way? I'm not looking for a quick way, consistency is everything imo :)

Yep you can put your content on different platforms to increase exposure but make sure you use the canonical link tag (you can add this in Medium) in the duplicate blog posts which shows where the original post is to avoid being penalised by Google. Here's an article about it...

It depends on the content. If you posting exactly same content on all 3 blogging platform then Google SERP will treat the later posted content as Duplicate content and can penalize your website ranking.
Note: Just sharing link of your website post on Twitter and Reddit are not considered as a post. So it will be not treated as Duplicate.

But I really mean posting the exact same blog post on two or three platforms. I think it is common practice with having a personal blog and an audience based like medium but not sure if that is "good" or not.
It's good if you only posting link. But if you're posting all the content inside the post then it can harm your original blog post ranking.
