My First IndieHack :D - Looking for feedback

I just launched https://www.smsjournal.me as my first project and I'm looking for feedback on improvements I could make.

It is essentially a digital journaling service which uses your phone's native SMS app to record journal entries which sync with a user's account on the SMS Journal website.

I decided to create SMS Journal with the guiding principle in mind to minimize the steps to go from the inception of a thought to its recording. To me, the act of pulling out pen and paper or downloading a memory-intensive application to journal seemed like an inefficient way to perform such a simple task.

This definitely serves a very niche group of people but hoping people may see the value in its simplicity.

Thank you!

Looks very interesting. A creative alternative to some of the bulkier solutions . Here are some of my initial thoughts

    1. The message limits on the different tires seem very restrictive.
    2. Are you able to write something on the pc, and have it synced to the phone? Two way communication could be useful for things like meeting agendas.
    3. Considering there are many note apps with great cross platform support, I would try to look to leverage that your app requers no download (also maybe no account) and you can include/share notes with anyone who has a phone number. Perhaps older people or artists who dont want to deal with technology could be good segments to explore.

Thanks so much for the detailed feedback. There's a lot of insight here I plan on using.

      1. I also considered the message limits to be a little restrictive it was just that the messaging service I used to connect SMS to my webapp was pricier than expected so I had to rate limit to a certain extent.
      2. The two way communication is a great idea I was wondering how you meant it could be used for meeting agendas?
      3. I'm with you there considering how saturated the note app space is. I've been thinking about how to pivot this SMS message feature into a more useful form thanks for those ideas.

        1. That could be tricky. When I once face a similar issue, a entrepreneurship professor told me that it is better for people to use your product first.
        2. Well, I image if I'm going to a meeting I write down some things I want to discuss. I could instead text them to my phone. This could also work with a to-do list, or a shopping list.
