My ideal day would be something like πŸ…πŸπŸ…πŸŒπŸ₯¦πŸ’ but sometimes its πŸ’ πŸ’πŸ’πŸ’πŸ… and sometimes its πŸ…πŸ…πŸ…πŸ…πŸ’ but that's not the point.

I've recently realised the key to success is to consciously pick and choose what you do every day, and most of all that you need some form of guidance and balance.

The πŸ…(tomato) is inspired by the pomodoro technique, I try to do 1-2 full pomodoro's worth of work per day, which is 2-4 hours of solid uninterrupted work.

🍏 (apple) is my break, mindfulness meditation, since as we all know "an apple per day keeps the doctor away".

I commit to an (at least one) exercise of choice per day, and often eat a 🍌(banana) after, or when I need an energy boost.

The πŸ₯¦(broccoli) represent chores, it reminds me of kids notoriously not wanting to do chores nor eat their greens, I also don't always do my chores.

And finally πŸ’(cherry) as in "cherry on top" of a desert, are my rewards, fun things to relax, I try to eat them carefully remembering that each comes with a pit, but sometimes I do swallow one.

You need balance in your life, and that there is no a fixed recipe, and every day is unique and non-zero. Making a conscious choice about the things that are important to you, without judgment, and doing them (or not) every day will help raise your self-esteem and make you a happier/better person.

I'm writing an article on mental health, wellbeing and productivity, based on this, and would love your input. What is your day like? Do you plan it in advance, do you let the flow take you? How do you "cultivate" your environment, do you get any "gardener" to help guide you?
