My MicroSaaS hits 4,000,000 transcribed words, AMA 🎉

12 months ago, I've launched a new SaaS startup and didn't expect that it would grow that big.

Gglot.com - is a light-weigh, inexpensive online audio/video transcription tool that supports 60+ languages and works with almost any popular format: mp4, mp3, acc, wav, m4a, etc.

To achieve this success, I've implemented a few clever tricks that skyrocketed website traffic and conversions.

Ask your questions. I am here to help. 🎉

What acquition channel you used to drive traffic?

Hi, the most important acquisition channel right now is paid Google Ads.
They are super expensive with targeting in the US; however, we've translated our website into 20 languages (thanks to ConveyThis plugin for WP: https://wordpress.org/plugins/conveythis-translate/ ) and started advertising in other countries. For example, the CPC in US: $2.89. In Russia, the CPC is $0.17

Kudos on your progress @AlexBuran! So happy to see the 4 Mil number, but more than the number it's the hustle and no-expectation approach you spoke about!

I would love it if you can answer bunch of these questions with reference to my product ruttl -

    1. Did you do any SEO tricks that worked for you?
    2. Did you try running Facebook ads? If yes, how was the experience or would you recommend Google Ads instead?
    3. I'm having trouble with user inactivity. Can you suggest any ways to re-engage with the existing users?
    4. The one thing that you did and skyrocketed the growth of Gglot?

Thanks for the kind words! Good luck with your product too!

My best trick on Google SEO was to implement multilingual pages, make them appear in sitemaps.xml and speed up the page load with WP caching plugins.
I don't want to promote my other plugin, but thanks to it we've accomplished all of that: https://wordpress.org/plugins/conveythis-translate/
