My plan to acquire multiple small revenue-generating no-code side projects by the time I graduate.

As a uni student, my goal is to acquire a couple of profitable, no-code side projects as a way to build some side income.

Here's my rough thought process on how this is going to be achievable by the time I graduate (Spring 2022)

Step 1: Put time and effort into leveraging no-code stacks.
The biggest misconception with nocode is that it's easy to build sustainable, revenue-generating apps.

It takes time to be an "expert" on platforms like bubble, integromat and airtable - simply put, there's a learning curve.

Step 2: Scope out projects that have three characteristics:

  • Verified MRR via Stripe.
  • Identifying organic marketing streams/SEO opportunities to either maintain or scale MRR.
  • A project that I'm actually interested in which I would be interested in building further in terms of features.

That's pretty much it - not expecting too much especially if it's a side project.

Step 3: It's obvious that there's going to be risk associated with buying side projects, but the goal is to find the best ways of doing "due diligence" for a side project that balances time and risk.

Step 4: Allocate a certain amount of hours for customer support, additional features to build a week. The idea is to spend less than 8 hours on each side project, but this might change depending on if one needs more help.

The more I talk about it, the less I have it fleshed out but I'm interested to see if there could be the "Tiny Capital" exclusively for no-code projects in the future.

Let's see what happens - what do you guys think I'm missing?

If you're interested in discussing your no-code side project, you can always shoot me an email or dm me on Twitter.

Hey Kaito and everyone - I made a database here collecting profitable products built with No-Code and how No-Code tools were used: https://dqbui3295.gumroad.com/l/RyGWZ

This database itself is a profitable side project on Gumroad with 80% profit margin - will be happy to share more info. Let me know what you think!
