TL;DR -
Share your experience on positioning a product in a crowded market. How do you prove to new users that your niche solution can solve the problem better than generic solutions?
Context -
We are building https://www.utilize.app - a tool that allows businesses to adopt customized internal apps in just minutes. One can convert their spreadsheets into mobile apps or select a sample app and customize it to their use cases.
As you may have noticed already, we are competing in the crowded no-code domain alongside Appsheet, Glide, Adalo, Webflow, so on.
When we started building last year, we got persuaded by a grand vision to democratize software and built a generic no-code app builder. We later decided to focus on solving the problem of customized internal apps. Our current narrowed-down goal is to create ERP systems that can be customized without any coding (Imagine a no-code Odoo).
Because of our focus, our overall product experience (builder and end-user flows) is optimized for internal app usecases. While this was easy for us to prove to our early users, we want to make this work at scale with the right positioning and messaging.
